The INEOS Rebels found their form on the penultimate day of the GC32 2019 World Championships placing two solid results to move up to second overall on the leaderboard.
The start of the day was delayed as the fleet waited for the sea breeze to build, the Race Committees patience paid off and three races were eventually completed. The conditions were tricky with light winds meaning non-foiling racing, but this seemed to play to the Rebels tactical strengths with the highlight being a win in the final race of the day.
The British team head into tomorrow’s finale with the target of a podium place. The final day of racing starts at 1300-1700 (UTC+ 1).

Giles Scott, Tactician
“Today was tough, we made a few silly errors in the first race which was frustrating, but ultimately we improved and moved up the leaderboard but it’s still really tight.”
Rob Wilson, Coach
“We didn’t start off the day too well but the guys bounced back well to improve our overall standing, we are reasonably pleased with how the day went, but it’s all on tomorrow.”
